Sainte-Anne is a coastal town on Grande-Terre Island in Guadeloupe, a French overseas region in the Caribbean Sea. A daily market on the beachfront promenade sells vegetables, clothes and rum cocktails. Artist Jocelyn Pézeron’s "Neg Marron" memorial pays tribute to escaped slaves. Sainte-Anne beach is protected by a coral reef. To the east are the shallow waters of palm-fringed Bois Jolan Beach.
