Sälen is a village in western Sweden, near the Norwegian border. It's known for its huge ski area, made up of several resorts and offering a range of slopes. The Vasaloppsleden Trail runs from Sälen to the town of Mora, to the east. Sälen Aquarium has a flowing-water environment with fish varieties including rainbow trout. The village is a launch point for the southern section of the long-distance Kungsleden Trail.
