Plot summary

Recently widowed from María de las Mercedes, King Alfonso XII of Spain is urged to marry again to secure the restored monarchy and a heir to the throne. He chooses María Cristina de Battemberg, who makes an excellent yet lonely queen. Then the king becomes ill. Second part to "¿Dónde vas Alfonso XII ?".
