All und Alltag Filming Locations

The video essay ALL UND ALLTAG is a very personal insight into the feature films of DEFA. The filmmaker Betina Kuntzsch, known for her animated short films, grew up in the GDR herself. Together with the audience, she delves into the film world that influenced her like so many others. Which films are particularly memorable? Which ones are worth rediscovering? The essay takes up a wide variety of films - from children's films in which the universe is dreamed of to cult films that everyone has seen. Works that reflect the mood in the last months of the GDR are also part of the cinematic "short biography of DEFA."
