Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Amédée (1968)
Adaptation of the work of Eugène Ionesco. A pitiful couple, both united and separated by fifteen years of marriage, are prisoners of their old memories, of a host of vague reminiscences, resentments and aborted joys. He imagines himself as a playwright but in fact he is undecided, a failure. She earns their meager living by keeping a switchboard at home. They are on the fringes of life. In their room, a dead man who hasn't stopped growing for fifteen years. His monstrous body gradually invades the whole house. You never know if it's the corpse of a man killed by the husband during a fit of jealousy or perhaps the symbol of a confused and heavy past.
