Manzanares el Real is a town in the north of the autonomous Community of Madrid. It is located at the foot of La Pedriza, a part of the Sierra de Guadarrama, and next to the embalse de Santillana. In 2020, the town had 8,936 inhabitants.

Nador is a coastal city and provincial capital in the northeastern Rif region of Morocco with a population of about 178,540. Nador city is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a salt lagoon named Rbḥar Ameẓẓyan in Berber and is 10 kilometres south of the Spanish city of Melilla.

The city's French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco. Standing partly over the water, the enormous Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993, has a 210m minaret topped with lasers directed toward Mecca.

Málaga is a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. Looming over that modern skyline are the city’s 2 massive hilltop citadels, the Alcazaba and ruined Gibralfaro, remnants of Moorish rule. The city's soaring Renaissance cathedral is nicknamed La Manquita ("one-armed lady") because one of its towers was curiously left unbuilt.

Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.

Chiclana de la Frontera is a town and municipality in southwestern Spain, in the province of Cádiz, Andalucía, near the Gulf of Cádiz.

Plot summary

Is border control between the states a business? 2014 was one of the years most media in the Euro-African borders of Ceuta and Melilla. 'Walled' follows a traveler accompanied his guide dog, which seeks to understand how it works the Southern Border. Faced with a journalism that seeks to impact, Walled tries to humanize a through conversation with the various actors who inhabit the border: migrants, security forces, human rights activists and neighbors on both sides of the fence.
