Johannesburg, South Africa's biggest city and capital of Gauteng province, began as a 19th-century gold-mining settlement. Its sprawling Soweto township was once home to Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Mandela’s former residence is now the Mandela House museum. Other Soweto museums that recount the struggle to end segregation include the somber Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill, a former prison complex.
Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.

Angels (2024)
Paul Taylor, a middle-aged man, is devastated after losing something that meant the world to him. He decides to give up everything and to go and teach at a reform school for kids aged between 12 and 14 in the hope he would come to understand the criminal mind of a child. Here he is challenged by students who have nothing to lose. The only way out is to kill for survival or be killed or end up spending their lives behind bars. While teaching at the reform school Paul Taylor befriends two pupils. These two boys literally represent the negative and positive ends of the world and with them comes the mystery of what is real and what is not. Paul begins to realize that nothing seems normal anymore and that there is more to this world than what he imagined and, if he wants, he can make the decision to walk with the power of the universe.
