Yalta is a resort city on the south coast of the Crimean Peninsula surrounded by the Black Sea. It serves as the administrative center of Yalta Municipality, one of the regions within Crimea.

Moscow, on the Moskva River in western Russia, is the nation’s cosmopolitan capital. In its historic core is the Kremlin, a complex that’s home to the president and tsarist treasures in the Armoury. Outside its walls is Red Square, Russia's symbolic center. Taganrog is a port city in southwestern Russia. The Chekhov House Museum, the birthplace of playwright Anton Chekhov, displays family artifacts. Gorky Park dates from the 19th century and has fountains and children’s rides. Featuring an ornate facade, Alferaki Palace houses the Museum of Local Lore, with ceramics, textiles and paintings. The works of Russian masters are on display at the Taganrog Museum of Art.

Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
