Belcanto (2010)
Poland. West Coast. 1966. Szczecin Stargard next to a huge Soviet military airport in Kluczew. Mariusz Marzeda - a provincial opera and operetta tenor- comes into neighbourly conflict with a local courtesan. He is used to practising early in the morning whereas the daughter of Corinth wants to sleep off working hard at night. As the woman is extremely influential in the area, Marzeda becomes a social outcast. Then the Soviet army, especially the general- major Jurij Ogorcow who is totally in love with music, decides to defend him.
