Plot summary

In the 1832 Marquess Ottavio (Riondino) and his friend Paolo (Hendel) left Napoli to reach Sicily following same itinerary of poet Goethe. After few miles they are assaulted and robbed by bandits. They decided to stop in the Cilento, in the beautiful villa of a Prince their friend. This last will try in all the way to make his inconstant daughter to marry one of the two.
