The Museo Histórico de Cuautla has displays on revolutionary leaders Emiliano Zapata and José María Morelos y Pavón. Southwest is the Ex-hacienda de Chinameca, where Zapata was ambushed and killed in 1919. His remains are buried in the Plaza de la Revolución del Sur.
