Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco, is a sovereign city-state and microstate on the French Riviera a few kilometres west of the Italian region of Liguria, in Western Europe, on the Mediterranean Sea. It is a semi-enclave bordered by France to the north, east and west.

Megève is a ski resort village in the Alps of southeastern France, in the Mont Blanc massif. It offers downhill runs, snow parks and cross-country trails, with links to La Giettaz. The area features rustic-chic chalets, upmarket hotels and designer boutiques. Its pedestrian center has cobbled medieval streets. In summer, trails lead through green forests and meadows, and up to Mont d’Arbois for panoramic views.

Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
