Sweden is a Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains. Its principal cities, eastern capital Stockholm and southwestern Gothenburg and Malmö, are all coastal. Stockholm is built on 14 islands. It has more than 50 bridges, as well as the medieval old town, Gamla Stan, royal palaces and museums such as open-air Skansen.
Piauí is a state in northeast Brazil, known for its national parks. Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara in the southeast features archaeological sites containing prehistoric rock paintings. Nearby Parque Nacional Serra das Confusões features gigantic rock formations and large areas of caatinga (semi-arid vegetation), home to endangered birds. Mango trees line the streets of the riverside capital, Teresina.
Cipriano (2001)
Two brothers, Bigail and Vicente, living in the backcountry of the State of Piauí, an arid and hostile environment, decide to take their father Cipriano's dead body to be buried in a very faraway cemetery by the sea, since the old man, a former cowboy, dreamed of knowing the sea. In their way, they meet the Death, three Guardian Angels and two demons. First feature film entirely produced in the State of Piauí, perhaps Brazil's poorest State.
