Marie is a sweet and lively single mother who gets a Christmas Day surprise: she's inherited an estate. A descendant of an old White Russian family, Marie becomes the owner and manager of a faltering tourist park outside Saint Petersburg. She does her best to save the park and help its workers, but she bumps heads with Vania, who's been running the failing park for several years and is afraid Marie will only make matters worse. Forced to work together, Marie and Vania gradually develop a strong connection, realizing it may indeed be possible to love and be loved again.
