An archaeology professor is involved in the theft of an ancient sky disk during a lecture tour in Edinburgh and is accused of stealing the antique. With the help of his children's supervisor, he manages to escape. He wants to solve the riddle of the disc and sets off on a journey through Scotland with his rescuer and the children. The behavior of the young woman becomes suspicious to him, however: She seems to be much more than a harmless "Mary Poppins".
