Plot summary

Hardworking lower middle class Germans Winnie Morell and Jakob Wagner are good friends since years. They ignore their sons are bitter enemies: bully Paul Wagner constantly humiliates and harasses shy, younger Robert Morell. One time, Paul 'borrows' dad gun and taunts 'softie' Robert, even pushing it into his hands, but is surprised by fatal shots. The Morell parents find they boys and decide to protect Robert by disposing of Paul's corps. Police commissioner Bender investigates only his false suspicion against small drug dealer Ole Swenson. Neither family can just go on, which leads to further tragedy.
