Plot summary

Unemployed slacker/trouble-maker, Kanwal Singh Sidhu, is in love with Ladi Kaur, the eldest daughter of Professor Kang Singh. He finds his life turned upside down when not only Professor Kang, but his very own father, Sarpanch Gurtej, finds him completely unsuitable for marriage. Dejected, he decides to leave home, establish himself and then return back to claim Ladi as his bride - little knowing that Ladi has already agreed to adhere to her father's wishes, and is ready to marry a boy of his choice.
