Havana is Cuba’s capital city. Spanish colonial architecture in its 16th-century Old Havana core includes the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, a fort and maritime museum. The National Capitol Building is an iconic 1920s landmark. Also in Old Havana is the baroque Catedral de San Cristóbal and Plaza Vieja, whose buildings reflect the city’s vibrant architectural mix.

Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Real de Catorce is a village in the central Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. Set on a desert plateau in the Sierra de Catorce range, it was a prosperous colonial silver mining hub. Access to the village is via the long Ogarrio Tunnel, which passes through the surrounding peaks. The 18th-century Parish of the Immaculate Conception church houses the shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi, a popular pilgrimage site.

Veracruz, also known as Heroica Veracruz, is a Mexican port city on the Gulf of Mexico coast in the state of Veracruz. It's one of the country’s oldest and largest ports, founded in the 16th century by Spanish settlers. On an island overlooking the harbor is San Juan de Ulúa, a colonial fortress and former prison complex that's now a history museum.
