Plot summary

When Frank is released after 12 years in prison for armed robbery, he is determined to stay free of crime. Out of need, he seeks shelter with his daughter Susanne, who is not at all happy to see him, but her son Michael is happy to suddenly have a grandfather. Frank gets a job and starts to get his life under control, but both the police and his old friends keep an eye on him. Just as Frank is beginning to bring his new life together again with his daughter and grandson and, not least, his new girlfriend Ellen, he becomes aware that Susanne has started prostitution in order to pay off her debts. He decides to help her, but there is only one way he can raise this much money.
