La Romana is a city on the Dominican Republic’s Caribbean coast and a gateway to nearby resort areas. Overlooking the Chavón River, Altos de Chavón is a re-created 16th-century Mediterranean village with artists' workshops. An obelisk painted with colorful images of local life stands in the city center. South of the city is Catalina Island, with beaches, coral reefs and the wrecked ship of pirate William Kidd.

A corrupt Governor (Mártires Castro) shows himself off as an efficient public server during the day, but at night is the head of a violent and criminal gang of mercenaries. Due to the acts of violence, three detective and special unit cops Kiloa Infante (Larry Moreta), Gutiérrez (Víctor del Rosario) and Bravo (Marcos Sánchez) are sent from the country's capital in order to solve the situation. Rapidly the investigators suspect who is the responsible of the issue and the Governor ignites a bloody counterattack that includes killing Alexa (Keila R. Infante), who happens to be Kiloa's love interest. Soon both cops and criminals face each other putting to the test how ends a life between power and corruption.
