Bertil Lund works at the wholesaling company Everything for the Baby. The supervisor Fredriksson is considering him to be vice-president but there is one obstacle: Bertil is yet unmarried and is thus considered unsuitable. But Bertil's friend Torbjörn has an idea: Bertil can borrow Torbjörn's wife Ulla and tell everybody that she is his wife. When his colleagues at work hears that he is married, Bertil has a lot of problems to deal with.
