Tigre is an Argentinean town just north of the city of Buenos Aires. It’s a gateway to the rivers and wetlands of the vast Paraná Delta. The town’s old fruit harbor, the Puerto de Frutos, is now a busy craft market. Nearby, the Mate Museum traces the history of the traditional Argentinean tea-like drink and has a mate bar. Rowing clubs and restaurants line the Paseo Victorica, a riverside esplanade.
Chaco is a province in northeast Argentina known for its nature reserves and wildlife. In the far west, the Campo del Cielo is the site of huge meteorite impact craters. In the east, the streets and squares of the capital Resistencia are dotted with sculptures made by local artists during the city’s Bienal del Chaco festival. The massive Puente General Belgrano bridge links Resistencia to the city of Corrientes.
