Cassiano and Tião are brothers living apart from one another in the Amazon. Cassiano holds a tract of land in Rondônia he received from the Brazilian Institute of Land Reform (INCRA). Tião is a squatter in southern Pará. The film tells the story of the two brothers in different situations and dives into the reality of the occupation of the Amazon promoted by the military government. Filmed in 1986, the film predicted a reality that continues to be a cause of concern: land ownership in the Amazon.
