For Hartmut, his wife Erika is the love of his life. He fights against her Alzheimer's disease with all his strength. Notepads and old photo albums should help close the gaps in your memory. Hartmut's patience is often put to the test, especially when his wife is more likely to recognize his neighbor Jochen than her own husband. Hartmut angrily rejects the doctor's advice to finally put his wife in a care facility. It seems like a miracle to him when Erika spontaneously starts dancing to the sound of old disco hits, as if she had never forgotten a dance step. Although she then falls back into her own world, Hartmut recognizes his opportunity. If he managed to turn back time, he could consciously be very close to his great love, Erika, once again. So he revives the seventies with psychedelic wallpapers and disco music and redesigns their shared apartment. While son Thomas thinks his father is crazy, granddaughter Helena believes in Grandpa's unconventional idea. But Erika's journey into the past reveals family secrets that would have been better left forgotten.
