Plot summary
Halina is one of the last folk singers in Podlasie specializing in mourning songs. In turn, her son Andrzej is a gravedigger. They accompanied thousands of people on their last journey. He dug graves, she sang. In their everyday life, death intertwines with life. They are used to the constant company of ghosts, and reality is mixed with a dream in their home. Only a funeral lament is able to break the silence.
