Bilbao, an industrial port city in northern Spain, is surrounded by green mountains. It’s the de facto capital of Basque Country, with a skyscraper-filled downtown. It’s famed for the Frank Gehry–designed Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which sparked revitalization when it opened in 1997. The museum houses prominent modern and contemporary works, but it’s the curvy, titanium-clad building that receives the most attention.
Santurtzi is a port town in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, Spain. It is located in the Bilbao Abra bay, near the mouth of the Nervión river, on its left bank, 14 km downriver from Bilbao and forms part of the Greater Bilbao agglomeration.
Generación Anti Todo (2018)
'Generación Anti Todo' paces back and forth between documentary and fiction around Eskorbuto, the mythological punk band from Santurtzi. Through a dialogue between past and present youth, we do witness chats about music, freedom of speech and everything that defines a generation. Has Eskorbuto been mythicized and eventually become a product? Punk is dead or it has evolved into another shape? A story about two 21th century teenagers is the backbone of a movie that also tries to answer to another question: can you be a punk, authentic person if you were born in 2001?
