Next to the cathedral is the Gothic Church of St. Severus. The Augustinerkloster is a monastery where Martin Luther lived as a monk. The Krämerbrücke bridge has medieval houses and shops, and stretches over the Gera River.

Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589.
