Plot summary
A comedy about two women and two marriages. A young woman lives in a Harlem apartment with a fire escape and is beaten by her husband. But she is happy because she always gets a present from him afterwards. Her neighbor is jealous because her husband is a cad and won't speak a word, let alone show her his feelings in this way. She therefore makes a scene to him, but it has quite different effects than she expected.
