Tochigi is a city in Japan’s Kantō region, north of Tokyo. The Kuranomachi area is known for its centuries-old warehouses. Several of these are home to the Kuranomachi Museum of Art, with works by local artists. To the southwest, stone steps surrounded by hydrangea in summer lead up the slope of Mt. Taihei to Ōhirasan Shrine. Farther southwest, Mikamoyama Park has trails, cherry trees and herb gardens.
Shizuoka is a city on the south coast of Japan. It’s known for views of Mount Fuji from Miho no Matsubara beach and the Nihondaira Plateau. A cable car links the plateau to Kunōzan Tōshō-gū, an ornate 17th-century shrine and original burial place of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Sunpu Castle features ruins of the original castle and a recreated turret. The Toro Museum archaeological site displays Iron Age dwellings.

Haruta and Chika were childhood friends until the former's family moved away. It is a new year at high school, freshmen are enrolling and the two meet again. Chika wants to be a member of the wind instruments' club, but it is about to be cancelled unless more members are recruited. The club is more than a mere music collective however.
