Plot summary

Jack leaves home with a pig given by his mother where he encounters a mysterious man in the forest. Interested in Jack's pig, the man offers to buy the pig from Jack. So Jack trade the pig his mother gives him for a bag of beans. Returning home to his mother with the news she throws the beans to the ground in a fit of anger. But these seeming simple beans quickly begin to sprout and reveal the magic contained in them. The once little beanstalk continues to grow upward to the highest reaches of the sky. Against his mother's wished, Jack climbs the beanstalk to find a mystical realm of giants and castles in the clouds high above.
