Plot summary

The year is 1941 and Astrid is about to start her probationary employment as a train conductor. On the radio, the Swedish Prime minister Per Albin Hansson declares Sweden's neutrality, but during the train journey down to Gothenburg, Astrid begins to sense a different reality behind Hansson's words.
