In this downtown area, the Uganda Museum explores the country's tribal heritage through an extensive collection of artefacts. Kampala Cycling Couriers is a documentary film about the start up of one of the first bike messenger services in Eastern Africa. A group of four bike messengers commits themselves to the start up and with the support of experienced Dutch bike messenger Joeri Scholte, who settles down in Kampala, they try to build up a sustainable business model and organisation structure. After a promising start of Kampala Cycling Couriers the bike messengers face challenges and the tensions between them rise. Their commitment and courage are tested. Towards the end of Joeri's three month stay in Kampala the future of the courier business suddenly seems a bit uncertain.
