Plot summary

The story of La Monos, a colorful woman with a mysterious past who was a legendary and beloved figure in Barcelona until her death in 1940. Pepi, a young girl, narrates the story taking her information from gossip, the movies, and her own imagination. Through her eyes, we see Lolita, the woman behind La Monos. As the line between fantasy and reality blurs, Pepi's world and Lolita's intermingle, revealing the similarities between them.
