Plot summary
The groaning tree - L'arbre qui gémit - could be derived from a Persian proverb that would say: "When a man has lost his soul, the tree begins to groan". A couple: he, young, she less. What ritual of love do we prepare them for? Their clothes are taken from them. Their bodies are washed. They are dressed in pure white. They are taken out of town. Two pits were dug. Two heaps of stones in pyramids, further. The man and the woman are buried up to their shoulders. Their heads are covered with a hood. They will be put to death by stoning. (Text M.H.)
