Plot summary

Despite winning the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale, a Finnish glass designer returns to Helsinki with a bad case of burnout. His psychiatrist recommends taking a few weeks off and seeing the Finnish countryside. Over a few sunny days and light-filled nights around the Midsummer, our hero enjoys the company of a mysterious tramp bearing surprising resemblance to his psychiatrist, and gradually falls in love with a beautiful female student crossing his path in several places because of her summer job as a tour bus guide.
