Spa is a town in the Ardennes region of eastern Belgium. It's known for its mineral-rich thermal waters. In the Villa Royale, the Musée de la Ville d’Eaux features decorative wooden boxes and exhibits about the town's history as a spa destination. The stone Church of Notre Dame and St. Remacle was built in Rhenish-Romanesque style. In the southeast, surrounded by forest, is the Spa-Francorchamps motor-racing circuit.
Dunkirk is a coastal city in northern France. The Dunkirk 1940 Museum documents Operation Dynamo, the WWII evacuation of Allied soldiers from the city's beaches. The waterside Musée Portuaire (Port Museum) has historic ships, including the Duchesse Anne, a 3-masted sailing ship built in 1901. The striking LAAC is a contemporary art museum with a sculpture garden. Resorts line the soft sands of Malo-les-Bains beach.
Leuven is a city east of Brussels, Belgium, known for its breweries. On a central square is the 15th-century town hall, with its tall spires. The building is decorated with hundreds of statues of local figures, biblical characters and saints. Opposite, the late Gothic St. Peter’s Church houses a “Last Supper” by the Flemish Primitive painter Dieric Bouts. Nearby, Oude Markt is a long square lined with bars and cafes.

Belgium, 1978. Katja, Roxy, and a group of other lively girls are too young for love, but still they are almost mothers. In a hidden location, pregnant teenage girls await the birth of their babies in secret. Some want to put their mistake behind them as soon as possible, but Katja, herself an orphan, clearly wants something different: she longs to have her own little baby. During the long wait, the girls share each others joys and sorrows. They form close friendships and distract themselves with strange games, until the bubble bursts, and Katja becomes painfully aware of the plans that the nuns are making behind their backs. She is not going to let this happen to her baby, however... Little Black Spiders is a story about the beauty and strength of unexpected friendships.
