Plot summary

The news of the Franco's death has a special resonance in the family formed by Florentina, her daughter Encarna, her son Hilario, and the children of the marriage, Juanita and Manolín. At the same time, Florentina informs the family of a much more important announcement than the dictator's death: her husband Emiliano, who had been given up for dead in the Spanish civil war, is alive.
