County Leitrim lies in the north of Ireland. The town of Carrick-on-Shannon, a river boating hub, has many 19th-century buildings. These include tiny Costello Memorial Chapel and St. George’s Church, home to a heritage centre. The old courthouse houses the Dock, an arts and performance venue. Slightly north, Leitrim village marks one end of the Shannon–Erne Waterway, which crosses the entire county.

County Sligo is in northwestern Ireland. It’s known for the legacy of local poet W.B. Yeats, whose grave is in a cemetery in Drumcliff, near flat-topped Benbulbin Mountain. In Lough Gill, tiny Innisfree Island inspired one of his poems. The county capital, Sligo, is home to the Yeats Memorial Building, featuring an exhibition and a library. Sligo town also has a medieval abbey and the Model contemporary arts centre.

County Fermanagh is one of the thirty-two counties of Ireland, one of the nine counties of Ulster and one of six counties of Northern Ireland. The county covers an area of 1,691 km² and had a population of 63,585 as of 2021. Enniskillen is the county town and largest in both size and population.
