Matomena homata (2008)
This is a Greek series which got aired on Alpha channel, and is about a guy called Manolis Axiotis who lives on the coast of Mikrasia in the beginning of the 20th century. In general the whole plot revolves around the Greek/Turkish war, or else the Asia Minor Catastrophe between 1918-22. The book which inspired this series is called "Bloody Grounds" (gr: Matomena Homata), and was written by Dido Sotiriou.
