More than 30 years after fleeing from Chile, Dr. Laura Hansen returns to her native country to take leave of her dying mother. Laura's own daughter Isabel follows her in an effort to uncover the secret of her mother's past. But Laura herself is trying to sort out the blurred images of her past, and to regain possession of her family villa from the clutches of her early love Carlos. Suspecting Carlos of foul play, Isabel confronts him, putting herself and Laura in mortal danger.
