Badajoz is a city in southwest Spain. It’s known for its Moorish historic quarter with the fortresslike Cathedral of San Juan Bautista. Overlooking the city, the Alcazaba of Badajoz is a Moorish citadel with fortified walls and verdant gardens. It also encompasses the Provincial Archaeological Museum and the 12th-century Espantaperros Tower. Castelar Park features palm trees and statues of local cultural figures.
Biarritz, an elegant seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast, has been a popular resort since European royalty began visiting in the 1800s. It’s also a major surfing destination, with long sandy beaches and surf schools. A symbol of Biarritz, the Rocher de la Vierge is a rocky outcrop topped with a statue of the Virgin Mary. Reached via footbridge, it offers sweeping views of the Bay of Biscay.
Ciudad Real is a city in central Spain, south of Madrid. The 14th-century Puerta de Toledo is one of the city's original Mudéjar-era gates. The Quixote Museum is dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes’ classic Spanish novel, “Don Quixote.” The Gothic-style San Pedro Church is noted for its Moorish decorations. The Cathedral of Santa María del Prado has 13th-century features, a vast nave and an elaborate Baroque altarpiece.
Madrid, Spain's central capital, is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. It’s renowned for its rich repositories of European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velázquez and other Spanish masters. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, and nearby is the baroque Royal Palace and Armory, displaying historic weaponry.
Nacional III (1982)
After being forced to sell his palace, the Marquis of Leguineche moved to an apartment with his son Luis José, his faithful servants and Father Calvo. When the father of Luis José dies, leaving his entire fortune to Chus, the daughter of the Marquis, the Leguineche family go to Extremadura to attend the funerals and promote the reconciliation of the couple. Achieved this purpose, they sell their properties and returns to Madrid. Then begins an odyssey to evade paying taxes. After several failed attempts, they decide to do so, using the special train of pilgrims going to Lourdes. Achieved their goal, the Leguineche are installed in Biarritz, but the electoral victory of the French Socialist Party forces them to repeat the same operation, but this time towards Miami.
