Plot summary

1936 M-G-M press sheets claimed this short had the longest shooting schedule and the greatest number of players, over 600 including extras. ever allocated to a short from that studio. It also didn't mention just how many of those 600 came from stock footage from the studio's Roman epics such as "Ben Hur." Anyway, back in (really) old Rome, an edict is issued from on high requiring the bachelors of Rome to either get married or get thrown to the lions. Frank Albertson plays a confirmed bachelor who has no desire to get married...until he sets eyes on the beautiful slave girl, played by Suzanne Kaaren. Scenario and music supplied by the music-trio team of Val Burton, Will Jason and Stanley Rauh.
