Aspiring conductor Chiaki Shinichi and talented but undisciplined pianist Noda Megumi (nicknamed "Nodame") travel to Paris to pursue careers as classical musicians. Chiaki finds himself at the helm of an orchestra that has fallen on hard times while Nodame pursues her studies at a conservatory. The actors reprise their roles from the television series "Nodame Cantabile."
