Riga, Latvia’s capital, is set on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of the River Daugava. It's considered a cultural center and is home to many museums and concert halls. Lüderitz is a coastal town in southwestern Namibia. It’s known for its German colonial buildings, including the art nouveau Goerke Haus, built into the rock face on Diamond Hill. Nearby, Felsenkirche is a hilltop church with panoramic bay views stretching around to Robert Harbor. The Lüderitz Museum has displays about the town’s diamond-mining past as well as local and natural history.

Rio das Ostras is a city in southeast Brazil. It’s known for sandy beaches like Costa Azul, with its long pier. By Baleia Beach, Praça da Baleia square has a large, metal whale sculpture. The rocky headlands of Costões Rochosos stretch south to Joana Beach. Iriry Lake is famed for its dark brown, iodine-rich water.
