Foz do Iguaçu, a city in the Brazilian state of Paraná, is the main base for visiting famed Iguaçu Falls, one of the world's largest waterfalls. Stretching for 2.7km, and straddling the border with Argentina, the falls comprise hundreds of cascades, including the 80m-tall Devil’s Throat. Drenching rides on rubber boats are a popular way to take in the thundering spectacle.
Dourados is a Brazilian municipality, situated in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, 225 km Southwest of Campo Grande. It has a population of about 225,000 inhabitants, and its economy is based mainly in arable agriculture and in cattle ranching.
Corumbá is a city on the Paraguay River in southwestern Brazil. It’s a gateway to the Pantanal wetlands, home to wildlife such as jaguars and otters. The Cristo Rei do Pantanal statue has panoramic views of the city and wetlands, as do the Quinze Steps. Colonial architecture in the port area attests to the area's former importance. The Pantanal History Museum (known as Muhpan) has historical exhibits on the Pantanal.

The Clock Tower building has art exhibitions. Cristo Rey hill has a statue of Christ and city views. General Santander’s birthplace museum is in Villa del Rosario, to the south.

Guaíra is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. The population is 33,310 in an area of 560 km². The elevation is 517 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language and means "place difficult to access". The city is served by Guaíra Airport.
Ipiales is a small Andean city in western Colombia, near the border with Ecuador. It’s known for its proximity to Las Lajas Sanctuary, a Catholic pilgrimage site. This towering Gothic-style church and its arched bridge span the Guáitara River in a steep-sided gorge southeast of town. Built in the 20th century, they mark the spot where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to a mother and her daughter in 1754.
