Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589. Plot summary

Years ago, three spacecraft were launched to Jupiter. Only one, Ganymede II, survived the expedition, but lost two members of its crew. There has been no contact with Earth for 900 days. When the spaceship makes an emergency landing on the Mexican coast 1585 days after its launch, the adventure of marching through the desert under a blazing sun only begins for the five men. Only the weakest of the space travelers reaches an inhabited village.
