Adolescents Frank, Jimmy, and Dale are waiting outside the principal's office for having initiated a prank at school, the outcome much more explosive, literally and figuratively, than they had expected. While Frank was the mastermind in wanting to get back at their teacher Mr. Kraft for issuing him a detention, Jimmy, now scared about what punishment awaits them, went along with Frank without even thinking about the consequences, he only thinking that it would be funny, and Dale always knew that it was wrong but buckled under the unspoken pressure of his friends in not saying anything to stop it. As the three sit there waiting, they each reflect on the ebbs and flows in their thoughts from the time of first discussing the plan among themselves to now. Without yet even knowing what the principal will do, would each one of them have done anything differently?
