Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city's central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.
Lower Saxony is a state in northwest Germany bordering the North Sea. In its capital, Hanover, Herrenhausen Gardens include the baroque Great Garden and English landscape gardens. The Lower Saxony State Museum displays art from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The city of Braunschweig is home to the rebuilt medieval Dankwarderode Castle and the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum, with its vast collection of European art.

Lea, Steffi, Toni & Maja have vowed to celebrate each others weddings together -- 26 years ago, things you do at twelve. Now Maja spontaneously invites the others to Italy. A promise is a promise! The trip begins moderately and gets worse and worse. It confronts them with missed opportunities, loss and their long lasting friendship.
