Plot summary

A merry Easter morning in the Northern-European countryside is thoroughly spoiled, when one of carrot farmer and hunter Be (Jérôme Meijer)'s conscientiously sharpened carrots strikes the heart of an Easter bunny hopping around carelessly. His disabled and hypersensitive son Timmie (Jean Paul Oeuf) becomes very upset, but finds comfort in the arms of his sherry-addicted mother, Eva (Maria Magniet). However, when their poison-spraying agro-scientist neighbor Draco (Joe Veldhuis) trips over an empty beer bottle, the exceptionally painful consequences for all those concerned become incalculable. After a bitter carrot soup dinner conversation the Easter bunny rises from the dead and takes revenge on all concerned: Draco trips over Be's animal traps as he tries to sneak out of Eva's bedroom and gets his privates bitten off by the beast; Be's pitchfork doesn't save him from having his guts eaten and Eva's sharpened carrot can't seem to seriously damage the zombie's throat. But Timmie finally manages to survive the ultimate standoff between him and this hellish yet tasty creature with the help of the sole remaining and expertly sharpened carrot he and his dad harvested from Draco's test field for carrots.
