In hip South Pigalle, gourmet restaurants give way to intimate museums that include the Musée Gustave Moreau.
The 18th arrondissement is centered around charming hilltop Montmartre ("La Butte"), a former artists' village once inhabited by Picasso and Dali, and home to the majestic Sacré-Cœur basilica.
